Empire Motel

Oh my! Step back into the 60s. The desk lady was fantastic. Rooms were clean and decked out "prairie style." Stand on a chair to operate the A/C, and get verbal instructions on how to operate the T.V. I slept soundly with ear buds & music, but some might be bothered by the train running all night and blowing its horn.

Fun staff , I had all kinds of hospitality shown to me just because these people are nice. I got to pick my room , pick my parking spot. They were extremely kind to my dog . They checked my room for me before I entered it . I bring my own pillows and bed cloths so I don’t get dog hair on the stuff they provide, folded it up and stashed in the closet. My room is neat. The shower was amazing. The place is very well maintained. The staff bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. Thank you!!! Room #5 is really nice.

This part of Wa is home to me. I know alot of people there, and have family in the area. I am not into modern things. I love the small towns and mom and pop shops. At first I had just flown in to help a friend that was in trouble. Stoped to get a room and was very surprised that I had to have a credit card or 100 cash for security. Normally my debit card is fine. But after that everything was great. I appreciate the old time feel of the room. Reminds you of better times, when things were simple. Clean, close to the highway. Store nearby, and Jake's café right down the road. I pulled my 1st car out of storage for this trip home, while it is now a project car its been in my family since new. I never worried about it here, they dont seem to have trouble makers around. Definitely will come back on my next trip home.

Wonderful and friendly owner. Cute and clean rooms with minifridge, coffee maker and Roku tv. Wonderful shower and rooms were clearly well cared for. Some may complain about the train, but we actually didn't mind. It's just a quiet small town built around the rails. Will happily stay again!

We will definitely stay again. Needed a room for the night while traveling through the area. The overnight staff was fast, responsive to our needs, and so friendly. The room is dated in the best of ways, super clean, and comfy bed with AC. Very satisfied and well worth the price.

I have been staying here for about a week and the manager Kathleen is really awesome ! I was in a bad situation, she hesitated but I think after earning her trust we have became friends! This is a safe place for people to go!! No Drugs, drama, just a clean place to lay your head and be safe!! She worked with me and I appreciate that, you can't find that in many places! Empire motel was perfect for our needs. I have a love for mid century motels built around the preinterstate highways system and Empire fit that bill perfectly. It’s a great stopover while heading east on 90. And for the price the mattresses were great and the heaters kept the place quite warm. There’s also ac for this hot summer months

While touring on motorcycles, we stayed at the Empire Hotel to get out of the emergency alert Dust Storm. The owner was very friendly, the room was clean and had a vintage feel as you would expect from a roadside budget motel. The beds were comfy and the AC kept it cool on the 100 degree day. Great overall value. I only give four star for location since it right next to the train track with a whistler tooting train the went by at least four times throughout the night. I’m a good sleeper so it didn’t bother me but to anyone with sensitive hearing…this is not the place for you!
